Clean Utilities and Utilities for Plasma-Plant - (CVE, CWF, CRD, CES, CKT) | 2000
Project completion time: 19 months
Diverse pure media supply systems and diverse utility systems were newly constructed or upgraded for the Aventis-Behring plant in Vienna.
The following planning/execution tasks were carried out for Aventis - Behring, a manufacturer of plama products in Vienna:
Purified Water: (Code CVE)
A new purified water production and distribution system was designed and constructed. It consists of a municipal water tank with a UV facility, demineralization facility, reverse osmosis, EDI facility, storage tank with ozonization and a distribution system with UV destruction in advance. The system is controlled by SPS, which was integrated in the superordinate SCADA system.
WFI: (Code CWF)
The existing WFI loop was replaced with 2 new, independently supplied loops. The consumers are now supplied with temperature-controlled WFI corresponding to the operator’s requirements by subloops equipped with heat exchangers and which were also newly constructed. The SPS controls of the 2 pre-existing stills were integrated in a superordinate SCADA system, along with new operator panels at the extraction points. The still discharge cooling was converted to a new still cooling system in order to save demineralized water.
Pure steam generator: (Code CRD)
A new pure steam generator was installed and integrated in the existing pure steam distribution system, and the SPS was incorporated in the new SCADA system.
Ice Storage System: (Code CES)
An ice storage system with its own ice water distribution system was constructed and the SPS was integrated in the new SCADA system.
Cooling Tower and Cold Water System: Code (CKT)
Two new cooling towers with their own cold water systems were constructed and the SPS/data recording was integrated in the SCADA system.
SPS Configuration and SCADA System:
The individual SPS systems and operator panels were configured for the above-mentioned systems. By means of Profibus FMS, the SPS systems were integrated in a superordinate SCADA visualization system, which is itself connected via ethernet to the central operating data bank of Aventis.
