Fermentation and Harvesting for a Multi- Purpose Plant - (LON) | 2002

Project completion time: 13 months

The plant consists of a media preparation system, two fermentation lines with 75 m3 main fermenters and several other fermenters of various sizes, reconditioning of the fermentation solutions with a complex evaporation unit, pure media supply, and a fully automated CIP system.

For establishment of the first production process, an enzyme solution, all necessary adaptations in the harvesting area were planned and carried out on schedule. In July 2004, Lonza commenced production in the new multi-purpose plant at the Kourim site.
