Vaccine Produktion Facility - (IM1) | 2001
Baxter built an ultramodern plant at its Bohumile site for the production of a novel vaccine. Vogelbusch was in charge of the process engineering.
The plant consists of a media and buffer preparation system, a multi-step cell culture fermentation system in which the largest bioreactor has a working capacity of 6000 L, a cleaning system, as well as a supply of pure media. The facility was handed over to Baxter in October of 2003. The advantages of the new procedure are the rapid and reliable supply of the vaccine and the high level of safety for those receiving the vaccinations.
