LONZA Biotec sro - Czech Republic

As a contract manufacturer, Lonza concluded a contract with ALTUS for the production of 3 enzymes. Ca. 55 million Swiss francs were invested in this project. The project included implementation of new equipment as well as preparation of phase descriptions and startup. A considerable amount of special equipment (freeze dryers, spray dryers, glycol cooling systems, air dryers, etc.) and package units (microfiltration, ultrafiltration, fermenter skids, separators, etc.) was purchased and installed.
Vogelbusch handled the basic engineering as well as the detail engineering for this project. The 3D model was created entirely by Vogelbusch on Tricad, and there were around 3,500 isometric drawings.

During the above-mentioned time period, the following main detail engineering activities were carried out:
- Handover of the isometrics, review and approval of the 3D model
- Adaptations of and modifications to the pipework on site
- Installation of main equipment, planning and coordination
- Vienna / Kourim Interface Engineering
- Installation assistance and technical support (package units) for Lonza
- Checking compliance with delivery dates
- Coordination and organization of construction / HVAC / pipework
- Startup of the various supply systems and process steps in the different factory buildings
- Preparation of qualification protocols (IQ/OQ)
- Coordination of qualification
